Los Angeles Hub Air Cargo Operations Notes

LAX Operations Location

The LAX Air Cargo Operation is based on the North West corner of the Los Angeles International Airport, just adjacent to Runway 06R . See illustraion below:

Taxi Operations

Normal daylight taxi operations are below. General instructions are to avoid taxiways used by passenger operations whenever possible between the hours of 0630 thru 2330 local.  In general, use of 24L, 24R, 06L or 06R runways are preferrable.

Schedule

Although freight operations are not as time sensitive as passenger operations, every effort should be made to meet scheduled departure and arrival times. This is particularly true at major transfer operations, including MCI (Noble), SDF (FedEx), and MEM (UPS). After arrival at the hanger, allow two hours on the ground for unloading and loading operations, as well as fueling.  Deviations of more than 15 minutes from the posted schedules should be reported to Noble Air Cargo Ops. as soon as possible. Serious errors in the published schedule should be reported to the Air Cargo Manager: Dave Robinette .

Initial Air Cargo Operations will begin with Domestic routes only. Other routes will be added as business dictates, probably beginning with Regionals, then Internationals, and finally the Short Hauls.

Charters

Pilots are encouraged to develop air cargo charter operations. Charters MUST be pre-approved by the Hub Captain, the Asst. Hub Captain, the Dir. Operations, or the Air Cargo Manager. Charter requests should include departure/destination, block times, equipment required, and summary manifest.
